The judges had a difficult time trying to decide the overall winner. This year four very strong businesses reached the final stage and each business had it's own strengths and weaknesses. As the debate continued it became clear that one business scored well on every criteria and was worthy of NatWest Startups Business of the Year award.

BeatThatQuote.com is a business that helps consumers save money by finding, comparing and applying online for the best deals on a range of financial products. As a business they have identifed a better way of providing finacial information that will threaten other companies in the finacial services industry.

Having also established that the commisions paid by financial companies for new customers were large, BeatThatQuote.com has developed a site that allows people to compare products including credit cards, mortgages, loans and insurance. The savings both in terms of time and money for consumers are considerable. Not surprisingly customer feedback has been positive proving that the service offered is very popular. With strong technology behind the site, BeatThatQuote.com has shown an excellent rate of growth, with revenues exceeding expectations. The business has created an excellent platform for future growth and has potential to diversify into other markets.
